Refund Policy
How billing, cancellations, and refunds work for Botect subscriptions.
Last updated · June 9, 2026
1. Overview
Botect is sold as a subscription. Orders and payments are handled by our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, Polar, so Polar appears as the seller on your receipt and statement. This policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.
2. No free plan or trial
Botect has no free tier and paid plans do not include a free trial: billing starts when you subscribe. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the billing period you have paid for.
3. Cancellations
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your subscription page. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, and it will not renew after that. Cancelling stops future charges; by itself it does not refund the current period.
4. Refund eligibility
- 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with a new paid subscription, you may request a full refund of your first payment within 14 days of that charge.
- Service issues. If a billing error, duplicate charge, or significant unresolved service problem occurs, we will work with you to make it right, including a refund where appropriate.
- Renewals. Renewal payments for subsequent periods are generally non-refundable once the new period has begun, except where required by law. We may offer a pro-rated or goodwill refund at our discretion.
- Usage and overage charges. Charges for events already scored and other consumption-based fees are generally non-refundable.
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory rights you may have (for example, consumer cancellation rights in your jurisdiction).
5. How to request a refund
Email [email protected] with the email address on your account and your Polar order or receipt number, and tell us briefly what happened. You can also contact Polar buyer support directly at [email protected].
6. How refunds are issued
Approved refunds are processed by Polar to your original payment method. It typically takes a few business days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank or card provider.
7. Chargebacks
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a chargeback. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is reviewed.
